Sincere thanks to everyone who took part in our All-Night Vigil last night. The turnout was fantastic with well over 200 people making a visit to the Church at some point through the night, either for one of the Masses or for periods of adoration. The Vigil was an amazing success for the parish and was filled with many graces and blessings for all who attended.
A special word of thanks to Fr McGoldrick, Sister Stacey, members of the Abide Group and Parishioners of St Gerard's who helped organise and prepare for the event; Donna Graham, Debbie Brennan and Nan Reilly for leading the music at both Masses and during the Vigil; Fr Bernard from Zambia who concelebrated the opening Mass and heard Confessions on Friday evening; Those who took a turn to lead the hourly Rosary; those who stayed for the full night and the many others who made a visit to the Blessed Sacrament throughout the night.
Thanks to everyone who played a part in making the Vigil a great success and a very special and memorable celebration of God's loving mercy as we prepare for Christmas.
Hopefully this will become an annual event in St Gerard's.
