St Gerard's Primary School opened in 1973 and is situated right next door to our Church. Both the Parish and School have always held very close links and the School join the Parish for Mass on the first Thursday of the month as well as for Holy Day of Obligations and other special celebrations throughout the year including the annual Leavers' Mass in June, St Gerard's Feast Mass in October and for the School's annual Carol Service at Christmas. The school celebrated the 40th Anniversary of its opening in October 2013 with a Special Mass celebrated by Bishop Emeritus Joseph Devine in St Gerard's Church.
